today i met up with my friend matt for some yummy tofu. matt lives in tsuen wan, and since i had never been there before he also gave me a little tour of the area, pointing out interesting places as we made our way to 'tofulism', a restaurant devoted entirely to tofu.
we had some sweet tofu pudding, pan-fried black sesame tofu and deep fried salty tofu. yumz.
to get to tsuen wan, you have to take the red subway line all the way to its final stop. i was actually looking forward to the long ride as it goes by mei's neighborhood and thus the place that holds my first memories of hong kong. of course it got me all melacholy, realizing that i hadn't been there since the mid autumn festival in october. time has flown by so very fast, so for my last two weeks here i want to try and make an effort to go to more places that i've never been to before.
