The Day

Rest assured mum, I got you your royal wedding coffe mug. I shall now grab a couple of ciders and see what all the fuss is about, quite possibly devouring a couple of cucumber sandwiches and scones as I go along. Thanks for the day off, Wills and Kate!

Sunny days

It has been incredibly warm and sunny these past couple of days and I'm ever so grateful to be living right next to Brockwell Park. Nothing better than soaking up some rays with your bare feet touching the grass.

Epic sprint for last bus home is epic.

Whoosh!

...and bam!, it's friday! Another week has just whizzed by, work is taking over my life. We had two events going on at the museum today and because the other volunteer didn't show up I was going back and forth between both of them, making sure the hosts were all set up, getting visitors to check out the events and so on. I didn't get more than a five-minute break so by the time I got home I passed the eff out and spent a good two and a half hours comatose in bed. Now energy levels are restored and Leo and I are making risotto - pretty much my favourite food these days. Today we are moving on from our tried and trusted butternut squash & spinach version to something a little more hearty - chorizo and balsamic plum tomatoes.

London Bridge

This picture was taken before spring decided to come to London. Can you tell who grew up with and therefore robust to this weather and who didn't? I decidedly prefer walking across London Bridge without icy winds nipping at my neck...Today it's 22° and the entire city is determined to bust out the sandals, shorts and vest tops...while I am still wearing a scarf.

Tea Time II

Part two of the Great Afternoon Tea Adventure. Bryony and Karli found this stack of herbal teas in an obscure little shop in Brussles, and it has since been the joy of my life. It includes Happiness Tea (rosemary, hibiscus flower and cardamom), Friendship Tea (marigold), Inspiration Tea (lemongrass, orange peel and peppermint) and Sleepy Tea (limeflower and lavender). Somebody knows me well. ^^ I have no idea why the photo shows up botched like this, I have tried uploading it several times and it comes out different each time...
