today my friend conrad took me to mak's noodles, a really famous noodle restaurant in central. their dishes are tiny - noodles and wonton are served in rice bowls! - but really good. conrad opted for their signature dish, shrimp wonton...
while i had their pork, shrimp and mushroom dumplings. yum yum!

tonight, victoria and i headed to chocolux café for their all-you-can-eat dessert buffet. over the course of two hours, we got to sample every dessert on their menu - which probably amounts to a full week's worth of calories , but we didn't care. not in the slightest.
starting off with chocolate fondue and fresh fruit, we had hot brownie sundaes with freshly brewed espresso, macaroons filled with ganache and ice-cream, hot molten chocolate cake, various crepes (banana, strawberry and lemon-butter, all drizzled with chocolate, of course) and truffles. sugar high.
we got a day off today so paul and i decided to go hiking on the dragon's back, one of hong kong's most popular hiking routes.

ok, it was not that hard.
shek-o village, probably the only place in hong kong where you can find 1 storey-houses. after we got down there, we hung out on the beach for another hour. nice :)
i had a special guest come visit me this month! obligatory first stop: harbour view.
because hong kong wasn't as warm and sunny as it usually is, we opted for hot molten chocolate cake. yum!
while our week mostly consisted of me dragging ralf into my favourite eateries, we also did manage to go to the botanical & zoological gardens. i pulled some stone creature's ears...
but i think ralf was more impressed with the bamboo.
